What's news around Puttyworld? As I mentioned previously, our attempt at reaching space with a rocket-bound piece of putty failed. This was a bummer. We haven't been able to find any upcoming rocket launches that will accept our payload. Hopefully something will come up in the future. Here is the news article of the crash:
UP Aerospace Rocket Found in Desert After Crash
It does look like we'll be getting back some of the putty that survived the crash. The launch company sent me pictures of the payload. Titanium wedding rings were so deformed they could have been made from putty. It also appeared that there were a mass of coins enveloped in...you guessed it...Thinking Putty. They won't allow me to post the pictures but perhaps they'll piece it all together and send us the putty back.
They say on the website that there will be another atempt on the october 21..will the putty space project still go on?

That launch has been delayed while they attempt to identify the problem with the September launch. I've been told that the payload for the second rocket has already been allocated but I'm still trying to squeeze in somehow. We're trying to get to the right people so we can bribe them with Thinking Putty ;-)

The company emailed me to say they recovered putty from the wreckage and were sending it back to me. I haven't received anything as of yet. I haven't heard anything about a 2nd attempt. I believe they still haven't figured out the cause of the crash and until they do so, all future launches are off.
I'll keep you posted.
