Since we started promoting the fact that our product is Made in the
USA, I've had a few questions about how we obtain our materials. It
seems that a lot of people have started to pay attention to where and
how their consumer goods are manufactured. Knowledge is power. All of the components of our product are Made in the USA with a few caveats. Putty: Made in USA from ingredients Made in the USA Tins: Made in USA from metal Made in the USA Labels: Made in USA / Printed in USA (a percentage of the pulp comes from Canadian trees) Exceptions: In the interest of full disclosure, I want you to know that
depending on the color of putty you choose, a small percentage of the
putty's weight may be composed of material from Germany, Japan, or
China. We do not get these additive ingredients from overseas because
they are cheaper. We do it because we need oddball ingredients (which
make Thinking Putty more awesome) and there may be only a single
company in the world that makes it. Not all of our colors have these
ingredients. Regardless of where our materials come from, testing ensures that they do not contain hazardous or banned substances. Email me if you'd like to know more.
