For a moment I'll be serious. There is a lot of wacky stuff going on now in regards to the safety of toys and other consumer products. Dangerous ingredients like lead and other heavy metals are showing up everywhere.
You'd think that manufacturers would know better by now. They should know to test each batch of their materials. They should know better than to implicitly trust their suppliers.
My Thinking Putty is 'Made in the USA' from top shelf materials. The tins, coatings, printing inks, labels, pigments, putty, additives, etc are all tested by an independent laboratory to prove that they comply with the European Union's EN 71 Parts 1, 2 & 3 standards for toy safety. In addition we comply with a number of other EU directives regarding safety and chemical compounds. I chose to test Thinking Putty against these standards because they are stricter and more comprehensive than current regulations in the United States.
I personally create the formulations for our product and I select
the vendors who provide the raw materials. Because I play with
Thinking Putty all day long at my desk and because I am not interested
in poisoning myself or my family, I take all due diligence to ensure
that Thinking Putty is safe. I hope that helps you to feel confident
about our product. Testing product costs money but I believe it is important. For your piece of mind, and my own.
If you have any concerns about the safety of Thinking Putty, just let me know. I am happy to answer all of your questions.
