We're crazy about the USA at Puttyworld.

We're crazy...that's for sure. After all, this is Crazy Aaron's company. But what we're really crazy about is the USA. And to show the love we bought these awesome window shades for our new office.

If we weren't so crazy we might not care what our Thinking Putty felt like or looked like. But because we are crazy, we want it to be the BEST product out there, and making it here in the USA, in our factory outside of Philadelphia, means we know what we're getting. So we're honoring our love by installing these great redi-shades on our office windows. Pictures forthcoming when they arrive and get stuck up on the windows!

Moving digs up some old stuff.

So we've moved into our new Thinking Putty office outside of Philadelphia. One room is filled with boxes that previously sat in our basement. There is some seriously interesting stuff in there, including this:

 Yes, my putty friends, that is a bag of Crazy Aaron bobbleheads, except it's JUST the heads. Where are the bodies? Who knows. But we have a huge bag of heads. Is Crazy Aaron a little freaked out to see a bag of his heads? Eh, probably not.

We also found this:

 This is the VERY first tin of Thinking Putty ever made. It's old and rusty but pretty cool to see. After 10 years, Thinking Putty is still going strong!

What makes Thinking Putty different?

I walked in to my local supermarket this morning to get some milk and saw a package of putty for sale in the toy aisle. It made me think...what makes our putty different? Anyone who has bought or seen Thinking Putty already knows, but for those who don't, let's talk about color. In addition to basic primary colors, we have electric and metallic colors (they kind of shine!). But then we get really funky with the color shifting illusions...they look different at every angle. Below is scarab--you can see how the color shifts depending on the angle. (And notice the label...new ones coming!)

We've covered funky, but then we get awesome. You've never seen glow in the dark putty? Well welcome to Puttyworld! We have four different colors of glow in the dark Thinking Putty. Want putty that changes color when you apply heat? We have that too. Here's a picture of a ball of sunburst heat sensitive Thinking Putty.

You can see that someone was holding the ball, so it changed colors in spots. Want to see a video of what you can do with heat sensitive Thinking Putty? Here's a great video made by some fans. You can see the part where they get into the color change at 1:10.

Of course, while all those Thinking Putty colors are amazing, the best is still to come...magnetic putty. While only available in one color at the moment (working on that...), it does things that no other putty does! Check out this great video of the putty EATING the magnet. If you leave it on the table, it will happen in about 30 minutes (or less)--a perfect sphere of putty around the magnet. And yes, I saw it happen with my own eyes at Toy Fair, so I'm a believer!

We're back!

Yes, we realize that the Thinking Putty Blog has been out of commission for awhile. And that sucks. But there are good reasons why we haven't been posting on our blog. We've been busy, and when a small business is busy, that's a good thing. We've been busy with a number of new developments, which we will be updating you about here.

So how do you know that we won't leave you hanging again on the puttyblog? Well some of our big developments are that we've moved into a new and bigger office in Narberth, PA, we have new employees, and we have more products hitting more stores near you in the very near future! So we have a lot to share and more people to help us get the word out.

Crazy Aaron has come up with a crazy new retail packaging for Thinking Putty that we previewed at Toy Fair in New York City a few months ago. Yes, last year we only went to Toy Fair to look around. This year we had a booth and got some great feedback from store owners and buyers. So look for Thinking Putty in local toy stores in the next few months!
